Tax attorney Argy Saccopoulo, will discuss real estate opportunities related to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The Act provides opportunities for commercial real estate professionals and investors to reduce taxes. This class will discuss how the new Opportunity Zone program may impact your business and will provide important tax considerations. The course will explain how the Treasury Department has provided guidance to make it easier real estate developers to take advantage of these rules, despite the fact that important questions remain unanswered.

Argyrios C. Saccopoulos

Argyrios C. Saccopoulos is an attorney in Jackson Walker’s tax group. Argyrios regularly represents buyers, sellers, and joint venture partners in M&A and real estate transactions, including federal income tax considerations of debt financings, merger agreements, and dealings in stock, partnership interests, and blocker structures. Argyrios has extensive experience counseling fund sponsors and investors on federal income tax aspects of fund formations and investments. Additionally, Argyrios advises clients endeavoring to qualify for the new “qualified opportunity zone” tax incentive structures implemented as part of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
